In our Hindu custom, the Sanjeevani word belongs to a plant or to a mantra. As we know Sanjeevani plant is a magical herb or plant that can treat any disease.
There is also a Sanjeevani chant in Hinduism which is believed to be able to bring a dead person back to life.
We all know more about this, read the story of Kachan and Devayani.
According to our Hindu customs and beliefs, Sanjeevani is a magical herb that has the power to cure serious problems belongs to any system.
It was believed that medicines prepared from this herb could revive in any situation where death is almost certain with many more.
In Ramayana describe the Sanjeevani herb because when Son of Ravan The name is Indrajit(Meghnad)Hurls a power on Lakshmana and the Lakshmana is badly wounded and is nearly killed by Indrajit.
At that time One and only solution of Treat the Lakshmana is to bring out the herb sanjeevani from Drona Giri or Gandhamardhan hills, far to the north of the vindhyas on the slopes of the Himalayas.
The mountain of herbs is identified as the Valley of Flowers near Badri in Uttarakhand on the slopes of the Himalayas. The mythical herb, sanjeevani, which saved the life of Lakshmana, brother of Lord Ram, as described in the epic Ramayana authored by Maharshi Valmiki, received widespread media attention recently when the Uttarakhand government proposed to spend Rs 25 crore in finding this miraculous herb. Because of the complexities in identifying this mythical herb, there is skepticism about the proposed project.
As the legend goes, Lord Hanuman arrived in the Himalayas to gather this life-saving herb, but since he could not identify sanjeevani, he uprooted a part of the mountain and carried it to Lanka.
About two decades ago, I climbed to Dronagiri village—named after the mountain Dronagiri, the mythical habitat of sanjeevani—in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand.
The village is located more than 3,500 m above sea level in the world-famous Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve (NDBR).
Some other Stories behind Sanjeevani.
The village is in the upper-most limit of any human habitation in the NDBR. In the evening, I almost fainted due to a severe headache. A woman, who gave us refuge at her house in Dronagiri, offered a small herb root to me. It tasted extremely bitter, but within 45 minutes my headache disappeared.
