What is the concept given by the Ministry of AYUSH, on COVID-19 OutBreak? 

In view of the increasing cases of coronavirus, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has issued some simple measures that can help people to increase their immunity and protect them from the outbreak of COVID-19.

Keeping in view the current situation, these guidelines have been recommended by eminent doctors across the country and have been issued keeping in mind respiratory health.

You might not know, our body’s natural defense system, also known as immunity, plays an important role in maintaining our good health.

As you all know that there is no known cure for Coronavirus or COVID-19 yet, the only way to avoid it is through prevention. Our immunity can play a major role in this process, if your immune system or immunity is strong then you can avoid this epidemic.

Through Ayurveda, you can use the gifts of nature to improve your health. This plant-based science propagates two concepts – ‘routine’ and ‘seasonality’. ‘Dincharya’ means daily regime i.e. your daily routine and ‘Ritucharya’ means seasonal regime.

All Ayurveda-inspired immunity-boosting measures and preventive tips are based on these two concepts. By making these remedies a part of your daily routine, you can greatly improve and strengthen your immune system.

2) Eat 1 teaspoon of Chyawanprash every morning. People who are diabetic should consume sugar-free Chyawanprash.

3)  Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric powder in hot milk. It should be taken 1-2 times a day.

4) Make herbal tea or make a decoction of basil, cinnamon, black pepper, dry ginger, and raisins and drink it 1-2 times a day. You can add fresh lemon juice or jaggery as per your choice.

Ayurvedic procedure to increase immunity by Ministry of AYUSH

1) Oil Pulling – For this, take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or sesame oil. Take it in your mouth, and without swallowing, hold the oil in your mouth for 2-3 minutes. Then spit it out and rinse with warm water. You can do this 1-2 times a day. This process is very helpful in increasing your immunity.

2) Nasal application – Apply coconut oil, ghee, or sesame oil to both your nostrils. You can do this twice a day.
