MVCC 3+1 Criminal Justice Degree Program
Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC) students can now earn their associate's degree from MVCC and their Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ in just four years.

Degree Format
This 120 credit hour program includes 90 credit hours of MVCC coursework and 30 credit hours of Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ coursework. Upon completion of the program, you will receive your associate's degree in Criminal Justice from Moraine Valley Community College (MVCC) and your Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Â鶹¾«Æ·ÊÓƵ.
Curriculum Pathway
The student completes 60 hours of coursework at MVCC to fulfill the requirements for the AAS in Criminal Justice at MVCC.
Upon completion, the student blends 30 credit hours of additional MVCC courses with 24 hours of Lewis Criminal Justice coursework and 6 hours of Lewis Mission courses with Lewis faculty.
Discounted Tuition
The 90 credit hours of MVCC coursework will be completed at MVCC tuition rates. The final 30 hours will be paid through Lewis University, at a significantly reduced tuition rate.
Who can enroll in the program?
- Students who have completed an Associate in Arts degree at MVCC.
- Students who have completed an Associate in Applied Science degree in Criminal Justice at MVCC and take the necessary additional general education coursework to earn an Associates of Arts or Science.
- New students to MVCC who indicate their intent to enter the 3+1 program.
- Students can apply for admission to Lewis when they are six months away from completing their associate degree.
